Corvallis is about twelve miles west of us and it is where a great deal of our work is. It is the seat of Benton County and the home of Oregon State University, which shows in the trees more than in anything else. This is a town that has been deliberately planting for well over a century, so the established neighbourhoods around the campus and along the river carry big mature specimens standing over houses, streets and gardens that grew up around them. A town that values its trees is a town where the difference between a good cut and a bad one gets noticed, and it is one of the reasons Corvallis has become our best area.

Most of what we do in Corvallis is work on trees people want to keep. Canopy pruning for clearance off roofs and drives, deadwood out of big broadleafs, end weight taken off limbs that have grown out further than the union can comfortably hold. Removals here are often the difficult kind, because the lots in the older parts of town are tight and there is usually a house on one side and a fence on the other, which means the tree comes down in sections rather than in one piece.

There is a good amount of rental and student property in the city as well, and we do plenty of that. If you own a rental here, the process is the same. Somebody comes out, walks it, writes it up, and you get the quote. If you rent, we are happy to work with the landlord's approval and we can deal with the owner or the agent directly if that is easier for you.
