Yard cleanups and debris hauling

A property that has got away from somebody, a rental between tenants, a house going on the market, or the aftermath of a build. Cleared, cut back, raked out and hauled off.

Every tree is different. Send the address and we come and look.

A cleanup is one of the more satisfying jobs we do, because the difference is visible from the street by the end of the day. It is also the job that most often gets underquoted by other companies, because from the drive you cannot see how much material is actually there, and the answer is nearly always more than it looks.

A full cleanup covers the lot. Beds weeded and edged back to their line, overgrown shrubs cut back or taken out, the grass cut down even when it has got long enough to need cutting twice, leaves and needles cleared out of the beds and off the hard surfaces, gutters of leaf litter where they need it as part of tree work, and everything blown off at the end. Anything woody that will chip gets chipped and the rest is loaded and hauled away.

We do a lot of these on properties changing hands. Rentals between tenants, houses going on the market, and estates being cleared. Those tend to be on a date rather than at leisure, and we will tell you honestly at the estimate whether we can hit the date rather than agreeing and hoping.

Cleanups also follow our own tree work. If a tree has come out of a yard, the area underneath it has usually been in shade for years and looks it. Clearing that up, getting some light onto it and deciding what happens next is normally the same visit or the one straight after, because the crew and the trailer are already there.

What we do not do is standalone hauling. Debris from tree work, brush and yard material leaving as part of a job is exactly what the trailer is for. Being called out purely to take away material somebody else generated is not something we take on, and we will say so when you call rather than wasting your time. Estimates are free and happen at the property.

How long a cleanup takes is mostly about volume and access. A property that has been left two seasons is a day. One left for years, with material piled up as well as growing, is more, and the honest answer at the estimate is a range with the reason attached rather than a flat number that gets revised on the day. We would rather tell you it is two days and be right than tell you one and be wrong.

A cleanup is often the visit where people work out what they actually want the property to be. Once it is clear you can see the shape of it, and a good number of these turn into beds, bark, a new fence line or a lawn in the weeks afterwards. There is no obligation to do any of that, and we will not push it. Estimates are free, they happen at the property, and most jobs are quoted the same day we look.

How the job runs

What to expect

  • Quoted on what is really there

We walk the whole property, including the back corner. A cleanup quoted off the driveway is a cleanup that gets revised halfway through.

  • Dates taken seriously

On a rental turnover or a sale we tell you whether we can genuinely hit your date rather than agreeing and hoping.

  • It leaves with us

Chipped where it chips, loaded where it does not, and the hard surfaces blown off before we go.

From a customer

My experience with Willamette Landscaping was exceptional. The gave me a bid on pruning 2 apple, 1 Asian pear, 1 Italian Prune, 1 yellow plumb and a monster climbing rose. They were courteous and their response time to bid the job and complete it was very good. Plus, they cleaned the area up when they finished. I will continue to use them for my other jobs.

Questions

Are your estimates really free?

Yes, and there is no obligation attached to one. We come to the property, walk it with you, look at the tree, the access and what is underneath it, and write the job up. It usually takes about fifteen minutes. Most jobs are quoted the same day we look.

Do you do commercial work?

Yes. We work on both residential and commercial property, and the process is the same on either. Somebody comes out, walks the site, writes it up and quotes it. On commercial work we are used to scheduling round tenants, parking and access.

What happens after I send the form?

We call or text you back, usually the same day. We ask enough to know what we are coming to, then book a time to come and look at the property. The visit is free, it takes about fifteen minutes, and most jobs are quoted the same day we look. Nothing is booked in until you say so.

Free estimates. We come and look, we never quote blind.

Send us the address. We will come and look.

Every tree is different, so we do not give numbers over the phone or off a photograph. Tell us where the property is and what is worrying you, and we will come out, walk it with you and write it up. The visit is free and most jobs are quoted the same day we look.
